About Bastant
Behind Bastant Design stands the husband and wife team of Martin and Gry – an unlikely pair with a shared passion for good design, solid craftsmanship and everyday luxury that actually works. Martin is a blacksmith with many years of experience and an uncompromising eye for quality and detail, while Gry has an eye for functionality and a good user experience. Together they have created Bastant – a Danish design brand, where every single product stems from a desire to unite beauty and functionality in interiors that are created to last.
The kitchen roll holder – an icon of everyday luxury
It all started with a paper towel holder. Or rather: with the frustration that no paper towel holder could be operated with one hand without tipping over. We wanted to create a solution that combined function and form in one seamless design – and the result was the sturdy paper towel holder in stainless steel and brushed brass.
A product that exudes quality and stability. It stands firm, feels great in the hand, and adds a luxurious and sculptural look to your kitchen – without compromising on ease of use.
Handmade in Denmark
All Bastant Design products are produced by hand at a Danish blacksmithing factory. This means a short journey from production to customer – while ensuring proper conditions, high precision and a pride in each individual product. You get interiors that not only look good, but are also created to be used – every single day – and to last for generations.
